Though Fabian Marta may have served as an investor for the controversial anti-trafficking film, Sound of Freedom, he may soon become acquainted with another distinct sound — a jail cell slamming shut.

On July 23, Marta, who vocally partook in the crowdfunding efforts for the right-wing flick, was arrested on one charge of kidnapping a child, St. Louis, Missouri police confirmed to Newsweek.

Though it’s unclear what exactly prompted these alarming charges, this isn’t the first time the 51-year-old’s allegedly questionable behavior has come to light.

In the weeks before his arrest, Twitter user @jimstewartson headed to Twitter, claiming that Marta and his former partner, Jessica “Laurent” Clark had some eyebrow-raising  ties to events aimed at Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies,

“Rockwood County, MO school board member Jessica ‘Laurent’ Clark, girlfriend of credited ‘Sound of Freedom’ funder Fabian Marta used to run ‘Sugar Boot Camp’ where women and girls—no age requirement—can ‘learn to be unforgettable,’” he alleged, adding several snaps of the pair and screengrabs of the event.

We can only hope for Marta, the "Sound of Freedom” is drowned out by the sounds of justice.
